Short answer: for a first batch, pick flat silicone ornament molds with built-in hanging holes (no drilling), in sizes around 2–3 in, and work out the resin for the whole set before buying. A full set of 21 flat rounds ¼ in thick takes about 13 fl oz of resin (about 15 fl oz with 10% waste); a deep, shaped 16-design set is listed at about 15 oz.

| Set | Cavities | Size | Hanging | Resin | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LET'S RESIN 16-design Christmas ornament molds | 2 molds × 8 cavities (16 designs: gingerbread, snowmen, trees, reindeer, stockings and more) | Each design about 3–3.5 in tall | Built-in wide hanging holes | About 15 oz epoxy to fill both molds (EU/UK listing); cavities marked with resin amounts | maker page |
| LET'S RESIN round ornament molds | 21 flat round cavities in 4 sizes (4 × 2.95 in, 4 × 2.76 in, 4 × 2.36 in, 9 × 1.97 in wide) | Flat discs | Built-in hanging holes | Use the calculator below | maker page |
Each cavity is a disc: volume = π × (width ÷ 2)² × thickness. Measure your mold's depth; ¼ in is used as a starting value.
Add up each cavity's volume. A flat round 2.95 in wide and ¼ in thick holds about 1.7 cu in (≈0.95 fl oz). A full 21-cavity round set ¼ in thick is about 13 fl oz, or about 15 fl oz with 10% waste.
Silicone molds usually release epoxy without it; follow the mold maker's guidance. See mold release for resin.
