Small-batch tips
Many two-part epoxies need a minimum batch to measure and cure properly; with a tiny batch, a small measuring error is a big ratio error. Weigh on a 0.01 g scale.
Waste is high in small batches because resin stays on the cup and stick, so 25–40% extra is normal.
For a few pieces at a time, UV resin avoids mixing altogether. See UV resin cure time.
Drops are approximate: about 20 drops per ml for water; thick resin drops vary.
FAQ
How much resin do I need for earrings?
Usually just 1–2 ml per pair for small earrings. Mix a little extra, since tiny batches are hard to measure exactly.
Should I use UV resin or epoxy for jewelry?
UV resin is fast and great for small, thin pieces and layering. Epoxy is cheaper for bigger batches and thicker pieces but takes about a day to cure.
How do I measure such small amounts?
Use a 0.01 g scale and the weight ratio from your product sheet, or graduated syringes for volume.
